Elgo Plastics Inc. was created in the early 1940s, when Nils Paulson and the Halsam Products Co. team started a full-scale transition from simple hardwoods to injected molded plastics. American Plastic Bricks began selling in 1947, replacing Halsam’s wooden bricks after WWII.
